Platform can calculate the amount of electricity supplied by the owner and the amount he/she is entitled to receive from the customer. The system works on the basis on the size of the car, and service time.

Question 1. Are you manufacturing a meter like an electric meter on a house that will measure how much energy is being pushed or pulled?
Answer 1. No, electric meter is not required, however Plug-In Electric Station owner claims a service charge i.e. hourly parking charge for charging a car/motorcycle. The charge depends on the type of the vehicle, say its capacity, be it a fully electric car or a hybrid. Formula for the service charge is provided by igoeast.com in ones account.
Question 2. What does the website have to do with the process?
Answer: We make it easy for anyone to set up a homepage (free) with their charging prices for different cars. One can find a energy station near his place via igoeast.com. It is best provided by http://www.igoeast.com/UnusualXchangeMem.aspx?MemI=52. It is in essence a directory of energy stations patronized by igoeast.com. Also enegry station can be linked to advertisements on web (e.g. Google maps, Craigslist.org or their own website) or it can be linked with ones personal website.
One can make a micro payment via igoeast.com. (This is an optional advantage).
Question 3. Does it work only where net metering is allowed?
Answer: Plug-In electric station does not require a meter. Note we are not metering any power that is supplied at the point due to legal issues. We use the formula shown in ones account page. That’s why one only needs an 110V outlet. One could add large outlet of 240V and charge at a different Parking rates. One can resell power in as Parking Charges per hour. One could use his own kWh meter to confirm the rate buyer is paying for Parking Charges.
Question 4. Would this be something an electric car owner would install in their own garage for their car or is it aimed only at public charging stations?
Answer: This is really for public use (includes friends who visit ones house and charges his car in the hosts house), in coffee shops, gyms, parking lots and etc. |
